I've been through many different moustache waxes; always been a fan of Capt. Fawcett. Until recently. Actually stopped into the store, since I got tired of going to the drugstore for Clubman (and the drugstore discontinued it) as an "emergency replacement" for the expensive Capt. Fawcett I usually ordered from Amazon. Found this wax. Unscented. Better hold than pretty much everything except the Capt. Fawcett -- however, unlike the Fawcett product, (which also was discontinued, by the way, so it's not like I can get any more) the Royal Beardsman Moustache Wax actually is easier to apply, easier to shape, and has nearly the same hold. It's unscented, which means I don't have to put up with a particular scent for forever - I can apply whatever scent to my moustache after it's waxed. It's a small chore I not only don't mind doing, but actually have developed into my own ritual. But I digress.
This stuff is good. It is easy to get out of the tin (with a fingernail, as tradition dictates) and easy to spread between the fingers without having to mold it like angry play-doh( like the Capt. Fawcett), and it goes on smooth. Combs right in. Allows me to hold shape without re-application for a whole day. THIS WORKS FOR ME.
So yeah, looks like I'm switching to Royal Beardsmen...because, well, it's good stuff. And I get to talk to a person. And it's less expensive than those litle bitty tins you get on Amazon. Seriously. Check it out.
